Slab Houses
Your foundation may need work if cracks appear in the slab. These cracks can be caused by shrinking of the soil underneath one section or the swelling in another area of the slab.
If you notice cracks in mortar and bricks, it is usually caused by the flexing of the slab. The mortar and bricks lose the grip between each other, an indication that your foundation may need to be repaired.
Pier Houses
You may observe a sloping or a bellying of the house between piers. The weatherboards could appear weary or separating. Cracks or sloping in a patio and porch indicate problems that need to be observed.
Interior warning signs
